Prayer is Central, a Ministry of Prayer

Prayer is Central was named because prayer IS central in the life of a Christian.  We at Central Mennonite Church are no exception.  This ministry is all about praying and being prayed for.

Vision Statement

As the body of Christ we are committed to praying for one another.  Our vision is that each person who is a member or attends Central will have a sense of belonging because someone in the congregation is praying for them regularly.

Intercessory Prayer

~ There are prayer cards, located just outside the sanctuary doors, containing the name of a person from Central.  Everyone’s name is on a card.  To participate, you simply draw a card each week and pray for that person through out the week.  Next week, you may draw another card and continue the cycle. 

Prayer Requests

~ If you have a prayer request, you have several options to share it: 1) You may write it on a card, found on the back of each bench in the sanctuary, and place it in the offering plate on Sunday morning.  2) You may contact the church office and we will send it out to a group of pray-ers within the church.  3) You may contact one of the pastors with your request.

~ If you would like to join the group of pray-ers who receive these requests, you may contact the church office or Dana Short (see contact info.)  The requests are either sent out via phone tree, email, or regular mail.
